Stand for election in 2023

The Institute continues to lead the way in promoting professionalism, attracting new entrants to the sector and showcasing the work of a dynamic and growing workforce. Now in the second year of an ambitious five-year strategic plan, this is a very exciting time to join the Institute’s governance team.

Standing for election as an Honorary Officer, Councillor or Trustee is a great opportunity for you to develop your governance skills, raise your professional profile and help shape how your profession develops going forward. There are currently opportunities to stand for President, Vice President, two Fellows and two Professional Members on Council, and Trustee of the Institute’s Educational and Scientific Trust.

What you need to know

If you would like to stand for President, Vice President or Councillor you will need two Chartered members to nominate you by writing to Louise Simpson, Executive Director, by Friday 24 February 2023. Please provide a headshot, short biography and a short video explaining why you want to stand and what you will bring to the Institute.

If you would like to stand for election as an EST Trustee, please email Louise Simpson with an expression of interest.

Voting will take place in advance of the AGM in Birmingham on Tuesday 25 April 2023.
