Is your forest fit for climate change?

Led by researchers at the University of Freiburg in Germany, the EU Horizon 2020 project RESONATE aims to enhance the resilience of European forests and their value chains. As part of the project, a survey has been published to investigate the possible adaptation measures for forests and related value chains in Europe and hopes to find out which silvicultural options might be suitable in the face of the changing climate and how they can be improved to stand up to this challenge. The objective of the survey is to analyse the ideas and concerns of foresters and forest owners on this topic and to bring them to European decision-makers.

The project team is encouraging members of the Institute to take the survey to help them understand which silvicultural options might be suitable in practice and what could be improved to make others more suitable as well. The survey results and analysis will be shared with all respondents so that they will provide valuable insights for your work.

The survey is anonymous and should take around 15 minutes. Please complete it before the end of April 2024.

You can take the survey here.
