New guidance on managing Chalara Ash Dieback in Kent has been issued by the Kent Downs AONB Unit.

Managing Chalara Ash Dieback in Kent was developed by Kent Downs in partnership with the Arboricultural Association, Forestry Commission and Kent County Council in response to the recent outbreak of the disease in this area, which has been among the worst hit in the country. Ash makes up one fifth of all trees in Kent, with a high rate of infection and spread in existence. This document aims to help landowners and managers to curb the spread of the disease and reduce its impact.
