A Cosmos at Alice Holt Forest

Jerwood Charitable Foundation and Forestry Commission England have unveiled an exciting new artwork at Alice Holt Forest. Cosmos, a work by artistic duo Semiconductor (Ruth Jarman and Joe Gerhardt) is a spherical piece based on forest carbon dioxide measurements.

The artwork used readings by Forest Research of the take up and loss of carbon dioxide from the forest trees, collected from the top of a 28m high flux tower located nearby in AliceHolt Research Forest.

Cosmos is situated 20 minutes walk from the Alice Holt visitors centre, and is open to the public for viewing.
