We provide a comprehensive range of forest, estate and land-related services underpinned by our in-depth market experience, knowledge base and commitment to quality. The business is largely employee owned, and this encourages a dedication and commitment to the highest standards of professionalism and customer focus. Our aim is to understand each client’s specific objectives and then to provide a service which is both flexible and personal.

As a key member of a high performing team, operating in a competitive, commercial environment we are seeking an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual with relevant woodland management experience to join our existing team in North Scotland. Based out of our Banchory office, key duties will involve working closely with our existing clients and customers and the development of new business.

The role involves all aspects of woodland establishment, restructuring and management from planning through to implementation of operations. The position includes the opportunity to manage a range of woodland types, liaise with clients, prepare, and manage budgets, report writing, grant scheme applications, cost control, planning of operations and site supervision.

To be successful in this role you must be professional, self-motivated and be capable of working on your own and as part of a team. You will have proven operational experience in a similar role where you have been involved with the woodland management. You will be highly organised with excellent communication skills, be IT literate and have a sound knowledge of silviculture. Experience of working with contractors, project management and managing health & safety are all highly desirable.

Professional membership of the Institute of Chartered Foresters or another relevant professional body is desirable. Candidates must also have a current driving licence to perform the remit of the role.

In return, Scottish Woodlands offers an attractive salary and benefits package commensurate with experience. This includes company vehicle, pension scheme, life assurance, permanent health insurance, private healthcare and the opportunity for share equity participation. Applicants also have excellent personal and career development opportunities open to them and will be part of a highly professional and motivated team.
