Do you want to assist in the delivery of an ambitious Community Forest programme in the North East?

We are offering an exciting and challenging opportunity to be involved in the development of the North East Community Forest programme, part of the England Community Forests network.

Following continued successful planting seasons across the region, Newcastle City Council (acting as lead) are looking to appoint a Community Woodland Officer to assist with this ambitious programme of tree planting across the Forest Partnership authorities of Newcastle, Gateshead, North and South Tyneside, Sunderland and Durham.

We welcome applicants who can work with communities and volunteers, facilitate the design and delivery of planting schemes, and develop and maintain effective relationships with a range of partner organisations to champion the multiple benefits of new woodland.

This role will support the existing Forest Team.

The role is fixed term for two years, with a possible extension subject to available grant funding.
