Natural Resources Wales (NRW) are once again offering an exciting opportunity for four students to undertake a mid-year placement as part of their forestry or land management degree from a higher educational institution.
Starting in September 2022, the placements will provide students with the valuable opportunity to work alongside NRW’s dedicated and experienced team of foresters and gain practical, hands on experience and knowledge in helping to manage the Welsh Government Woodland Estate and National Nature Reserves.
The positions are located in south-east and mid-Wales and will expose students to a diverse range of opportunities and land management practices, ranging from harvesting and establishment operations, to legal land liability inspections through to ancient monument restoration or specific species management on a nature reserve.
Applications are now open and will close on January 31 2022.
