David Pengelly is a director of SelectFor Ltd and Partner with D & H Pengelly (a forestry and agri-environmental consultancy business). He is a fellow if the ICF and is an active committee member of the Wessex Silvicultural Group. Having worked in the forestry industry since the 1980’s and operated as an independent manager and consultant since 1997, he has considerable experience in a broad range of forestry-related issues. David’s client base includes large estates, trusts, public sector and smaller privately-owned woodlands, covering a range of forest and woodland types. David has expertise in timber harvesting and marketing, and, in devising silvicultural strategies that result in economically viable outcomes. In recognition of the threat posed to our forests by potential climate change, and pest and diseases, both current and potential, David has immense experience and skill in mitigating damaging biotic factors and extreme weather events, whilst maintaining economic productivity.
