RFS Forestry Awards to Showcase Welsh Woodland Management

The Royal Forestry Society (RFS) are to highlight excellence in Welsh woodland management, with this year’s RFS Excellence in Forestry Awards going to the best woodlands in Wales. The deadline for entries is Friday, 6 March.
Entries are now being accepted for the following categories:
- Duke of Cornwall (Multipurpose award)
- RFS Silviculture
- Small Woodland (including Farm Woodland)
- Community Forest
RFS President Sir Jack Whitaker said:
“Wales has a strong tradition of woodland management for timber production and other objectives which support the local environment and economy. This is an opportunity to put the woodlands of Wales on the national stage, showcasing the best from which others in the UK may learn.”
