Reforesting Scotland Take Part in European StarTree Initiative
Reforesting Scotland are taking part in StarTree, a European-wide initiative to develop innovative approaches to increase the marketability and profitability of non-wood forest products (NWFP) to enhance rural economies. NWFP are wide-ranging, and can include fruit, berries, foliage for decoration, bark, medicinal plants, logging by-products and chemical extraction from wood.
As part of the project, Reforesting Scotland are asking Foresters based in East Scotland to take part in a forest management questionnaire, which should only take a few minutes to complete. The results will be made available in the sector review for Scotland towards the middle of the year.
