Job description

An exciting opportunity for an undergraduate student to spend a sandwich placement with Cumbria Local Nature Partnership (CLNP), hosted with Cumbria Wildlife Trust (CWT). 

An exciting opportunity to support CLNP and help lead on nature recovery. You’ll contribute to landscape-scale strategies to inform local planning decisions to protect, restore and create space for nature.  You’ll gain valuable experience in partnership working, legislation and will learn new GIS and data management, analysis and report writing skills, whilst also gaining some insights into the work of different environmental/nature organisations and groups.

Full training will be provided, including career development and first aid training, alongside a bursary package. 

It is expected that the placement will start around end of June 2023 for a 10-month period (dates flexible). The successful student will support CWT four days a week to enable them to fulfil the requirements of their degree.

Please note that all sandwich placements need to be filled by individuals on a recognised sandwich programme or equivalent, while the individuals are enrolled at a university. working towards their undergraduate degree.
