Western Bio-Energy (WBE) purchase approximately 60,000 tonnes of standing timber per annum. WBE require a Forest Works Manager to join the team based at our plant in Margam, Port Talbot to assist the Timber and Logistic Manager to deliver this timber safely and cost effectively to the WBE plant and our timber customers.

We are looking for someone to join us who is highly motivated and wants to develop their professional skill set working closely with very experienced professionals. You will need good communication skills and the ability to engage with Landowners, contractors and other professionals with confidence and clarity. You will need to be comfortable to take on multiple projects and manage competing demands for your time.

In addition to this you will ideally have:

• Relevant academic qualifications and experience
• Minimum of three years’ experience in forest operations or closely related activity
• Good knowledge of health and safety management in forestry
• Full UK Driving licence
