Scottish Forestry is looking for a Forestry Sector Development Advisor to join our National Office team. This is a permanent, full-time role with hybrid working options.
In this key role, you will be instrumental in delivering the Scottish Government’s forestry priorities.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Advising on forestry sector issues for key enterprises and leadership groups
- Leading initiatives to increase the use of Scottish timber in construction
- Managing the “Roots for Further Growth” programme budget
- Collaborating with industry partners to add value to Scotland’s wood supply chains
- Driving the sector’s skills and careers agenda and championing decarbonisation efforts
- Providing ministerial support and managing a small team of advisors.
