Job description

Job description

Would you like to help shape the future of Scotland’s forests and land? If you are practical, creative and enjoy working with others; have a clear enthusiasm for sustainable management of the land; are keen to analyse and explore land management options; and are interested in a job that gets you out and about in the forest…then this may be the job for you!

We manage the 8% of Scotland to meet a variety of objectives – from producing diverse timber products and adapting land use to reflect predicted changes to our climate, to restoring peatland, planning sustainable spaces for recreation, enhancing landscapes and maintaining and creating new habitats.

We have 7 Forest Planner positions across the country. Forest Planners prepare our long term land management plans, which set out how we will manage the land sustainably into the future. If this sounds like the job for you, then see the full job description through the apply link.

Candidates should be chartered or working towards chartered status.
