Job description

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for a committed professional who can demonstrate the application of BS 5837 and tree risk assessment, and who takes a pro-active and positive approach to project leadership. We need a team player who is versatile and experienced in collaborating with a range of other professionals; someone who enjoys developing strong relationships with clients, acting as the day-to-day contact, and trusted to deliver high quality work.

We would be pleased to hear from people with varying levels of experience with an opportunity to tailor a position around the successful candidates abilities. We are looking for someone to help us grow the arboricultural team with the opportunity for continued self-progression and longer-term managerial responsibilities for the right candidate.

The role and requirements

The role sits within and is supported by our 11 strong team of arboricultural consultants. You will have the opportunity to provide support to and gain experience in all aspects of private sector arboricultural consultancy.

The role will include the provision of BS 5837 surveys, risk assessments and population management, with the opportunity to promote and develop these services. You will produce a suite of written and CAD based reports and drawings, and have the opportunity to work on projects that are helping shape the UK’s housing, road, rail and energy infrastructure.

Your regional TEP office would be in Warrington but we anticipate flexibility with home working as well as the opportunity to visit TEPs other offices as project, social events or training priorities dictate.

Who you’ll be working with

TEP provide a wide range of services to public, private and charity sector clients. We also sit on framework panels for Forestry Commission, Anglian Water, United Utilities and National Churches Trust Framework. You can expect to be involved with and support projects of varying size or complexity; from domestic tree inspections and tree hazard evaluation right up to national infrastructure projects and expert witness work.

In the last 12 months we have undertaken volume work for The Land Trust, Natural England, National Grid, English Heritage, volume housing builders and several historic estates. We have also produced strategic tree management documents for Wirral Council, Newcastle Council, Preston Council and Manchester City Council.
