Network Rail Drainage and Lineside Conference – 28 September 2022
The Institute was offered the opportunity to exhibit at the Network Rail Drainage and Lineside Conference in Nottingham by Graham Owen MICFor, an invitation taken up by the Education & Outreach Officer, Dr Rob Hawkins. Neil Strong MICFor and the star of the Institute’s #NurtureGrowThrive campaign, Jonathan Callis MICFor were in attendance too, both joining Rob on the stand during breaks and encouraging attendees to engage with the Institute.
Given the imminent launch of the new Technical membership grade, which was promoted at the APF show the previous week, it was the perfect time to be able to present to Network Rail Lineside staff, many of whom now find themselves eligible to join the Institute via this route. The response to the broadening of the Institute’s diverse membership base was overwhelmingly positive and we look forward to welcoming the new members along with their knowledge and skills.
