Geraint Richards MVO FICFor delivers keynote speech at Forestry Commission leaders meeting

The Forestry Commission held its annual meeting for senior managers in Liverpool on 10 and 11 October 2024. With a focus on the future, the meeting addressed ongoing challenges, recent successes and charted a path forward for the organisation.

Sir William Worsley MICFor FRICS FRAgS, Chair of the Forestry Commission, and Richard Stanford CB MBE, CEO of the Forestry Commission, gave an opening address that set the tone for the meeting, reflecting on the progress made and encouraging the leaders to think creatively the future of forestry in the UK.

Institute President and Head Forester to the Duchy of Cornwall and to His Majesty The King, Geraint Richards MVO FICFor, was invited to deliver a keynote speech. Geraint reflected on his career journey, including his work at the Forestry Commission, and as President of the Institute, reminding the leaders of the importance of professional growth and adaption to ensure long-term success.
