South West England Regional Group: Spring Workshop (POSTPONED)

In light of recent advice from the government and WHO, we have postponed this event and hope to reschedule it for later in the year.

Join the regional South West England group for their first event of the year. It will take place on 2 April 2020 at the Croscombe Village Hall, Fayreway. Teas and coffees will be served from 9.30AM and the event will conclude at 4.00PM.

This Spring Workshop is a chance to hear from a number of speakers on a wide range of topics. Firstly, Alastair Sandels FICFor, President of the Institute, will talk about the revision of the managing H & S in forestry document and will later summarise the ICF strategic plan. Other topics will include:

• Working near power lines

• An update on VAT, taxes & financial matters

• Woodland valuation

• Future Trees Trust work on tree improvement

• Environmental impact assessment TPO’s

• Treeconomics urban tree valuation

• itrees & CAVAT

• A presentation from Natural England on working on designated sites

It promises to be a day full of useful topics for members to gain some CPD and is an excellent networking opportunity.

Buffet lunch and refreshments will be available.
