ICF Student Hour: Unconventional Career Development with Miriam Jones-WaltersBook now
Bookings are now open for #StudentHour on Friday 5 June with Miriam Jones-Walters.
Miriam currently works at Natural Resources Wales as a ‘Specialist advisor, Land Stewardship’ where she leads on woodland creation in the Welsh Government’s Woodland Estate. She has had a varied career to date, consisting of what looks retrospectively like a whistle stop tour of Forestry Commission England, after joining in 2015 through the Graduate Development Programme.
When Miriam joined the Forestry Commission, she had no background in forestry. In the first #StudentHour session, she will be talking about her (slightly) unconventional career development, sharing a few things that she learned that might help you, whether or not you have a clear (or any) idea of where you want to be in 1, 5 or 10 years’ time.
This session will take place on Zoom on Friday 5 June from 1pm until 2pm. The presentation will be followed by an interactive Q&A and discussion.
If there’s a subject you’d like to discuss, or potentially host, in a future #StudentHour session then please let us know via firstname.lastname@example.org.
