
We are delighted to be working with Forest Services to bring members in North England this event on deer awareness.
This event will cover a variety of topics, with indoor sessions and a trip to Hamsterley Forest. Attendees can gain CPD on a number of areas, including on:
- Deer impact, damage and browsing
- Seasons for deer and species
- Stalkers and qualifications
- Legal angles, equipment and monitoring
- Countryside Stewardship Funding
- Woodland design

12:30 – 13:00 Lunch (please bring a packed lunch)
13:00 – 13:30 Travel to sites in Hamsterley Forest via mini bus
13:30 – 15:00 Site visits – Alastair Boston & Arman Siddiqui
15:00 – 16:00 On site sessions on deer management infrastructure, woodland design and deer damage identification – Alastair Boston & Arman Siddiqui
16:00 Participants biosecurity and depart to pick up cars at village hall
