2019 ICF Wales: Arboricultural Field Visit

Join us for an informal walk and talk around Glanusk estate where we will discuss approaches to tree risk management and how this is balanced with other interests on the estate.

We will be looking at a variety of trees in the grounds, allowing plenty of opportunity for discussion and knowledge-sharing within the group. The afternoon session will involve a look at the estate’s oak collection, comprising of over 300 different species and cultivars, and how this ties into the wider management objectives for trees on the estate.

This event provides the ideal opportunity to meet (or catch-up with!) like-minded arboriculturalists and tree managers, and as a learning opportunity if you’re wishing to familiarise yourself more with tree risk management.

Access: The event will involve walking over uneven ground, off main paths. Suitable footwear is advised, as well as weather-appropriate clothing.

Delegates must bring a packed lunch. Toilets are available on site.
