ICF Professional & Educational Standards Committee Vacancies

Three vacancies have arisen for membership of the Professional and Educational Standards Committee (PESC). Reporting to Council, this is the ICF committee that oversees the examinations and membership procedures, promotes professionalism among the members and oversees the CPD process. The Institute’s regulations stipulate that members serve for two years plus an additional two years if wished (four year maximum).

In order to strengthen its representation, the committee is looking for Chartered Members to fill the three vacancies, with at least one of those to be a Fellow of the Institute. Applications from members early in their careers and from all the devolved public bodies are encouraged as are those with experience of technical or vocational training and learning.

The committee meets three times a year (January, May and September) alternating between Edinburgh and Bristol (or virtually). Occasionally sub-committees meet to deal with specific themes, for example Higher Education course accreditation. Posts are not remunerated, but expenses are paid.

If you are interested in becoming a member of PESC, then please provide a short statement covering how your skills and experience could best be used in this role. This should be no more than 300-400 words and be sent to the Institute’s Education and Outreach Officer, Dr Rob Hawkins, no later than 5pm on 13 December 2020.
