The Institute is pleased to announce that it has awarded 34 new chartered membership titles (MICFor). Following the Institute’s December Council meeting last Wednesday, 4 December, 34 individuals were promoted to professional membership.

The new promotions bring ICF’s total membership to 1600, the highest number in its 90 year history. The total professional membership now stands at 730; and coupled with 167 Fellows, 897 members are Chartered Members – that’s more than 55% of our memberships.

Among the successful candidates was ICF Development Director Russell Horsey MICFor. Russell has achieved the Chartered Arboriculturist title following a two year journey through Professional Membership Entry, culminating in a Professional Interview last month.

Congratulations to all our newly-chartered members – we hope you will wear your new gold badges with pride!

If you are considering presenting for Professional Membership Entry, then you may like to be aware that the Institute offers a series of PME Workshops in Spring aimed at members potentially presenting within the next 18 months. These in-depth workshops prove immensely beneficial for applicants as you have the opportunity to ask an Exam Assessor and a recently successful applicant any questions you may have about the PME process. The dates for the 2016 PME Workshops are as follows:
