ICF Announces New Fellows

The Institute is pleased to announce that two of its members have been promoted to the status of Fellows of the ICF.

Shireen Chambers FICFor and Nick Mottram FICFor were made Fellows in April after unanimous approval was given at a recent ICF Council Meeting in Edinburgh.

Through her role on the Independent Panel for Forestry in England, ICF Executive Director Shireen has made a significant contribution to raising the profile of the Institute as well as asserting the importance of forestry and arboriculture in the public arena.

Working for the Countryside Service of the Oxfordshire County Council, meanwhile, Nick Mottram was approved as a Fellow for his longstanding contribution to forestry, as evidenced in his role as Director of the Wychwood Project, which aims to raise awareness among local people of the invaluable natural and cultural heritage of the Wychwood area.

Commenting on the admission of the new Fellows, ICF President Fenning Welstead said:

“ICF Fellowship is an honoured position – an acknowledgement of an individual’s dedication, experience and achievements. As professional members, both Shireen and Nick have performed an outstanding service to the profession. We are very proud to have them as Fellows and congratulate them on their achievement.”
