Professional Member of the Institute of Chartered Foresters

Full Membership of the Institute of Chartered Foresters formally recognises a member’s technical and professional competence as a forester or arboriculturist, and is open to those who have successfully completed the Routes to Chartered Status:

Route 1: After joining the Institute as an Associate member, you have completed Professional Membership Entry (PME) and have been awarded chartered status. This is a four-step exam process, consisting of a two-year work record, career profile, critical analysis and a professional interview.

Route 2: You have completed Assessed Professional Competence (APC) and have been awarded chartered status. This route is for senior professionals ONLY and is not the standard route of entry.
