International Journal of Forestry Research
The Institute's international journal of forestry research, Forestry, was first published in 1927 and continues to go from strength to strength.
The journal publishes refereed papers on all aspects of research, practice and policy that promote the sustainable development of forests, woodlands and trees. The editors select papers for both their originality and their practical application. Preference is usually given to work undertaken in the temperate or boreal zones although papers of exceptional merit from tropical zones will also be considered.
Five issues are published annually and each year one edition is a Special Issue focusing on one subject. The journal is published for the Institute by Oxford University Press.
The Institute's Silvicultural Prize is awarded annually to the author(s) of the paper which, in the opinion of the Editors, best meets the criteria set down by the anonymous donor of the Prize Fund.
